Taylor Grabowski Reflects On Her First Winter Retreat

I am 16 years old and was born in Tacoma, WA. I moved to Mobile this past summer because my dad is active duty in the Army. We have lived in many other places including Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, and Texas. Throughout my life I've been very shy when it came to meeting someone new. That part of moving was very scary, because I was always afraid of not being accepted.
I've been going to church my entire life, so it has become a life routine, especially when moving often. Unfortunately, my eyes weren't fully opened to Christ until I saw the movie Soul Surfer.  The movie made me realize that I sadly didn't have a strong connection with God. Then I joined Christ United. The things I have experienced with this amazing church have been incredible and have allowed my relationship with God to grow. Winter Retreat gave me the chance to open up and become closer with God through the wonderful people around me as we took part in serious devotions, fun games and beautiful worship services (both on the beach and in the auditorium).
Thanks to Christ United, I'm am now finally starting to learn what kind of woman and follower of Christ I want to be when I become an adult and move away from home. For that, I will be forever grateful.

The things I have experienced with this amazing church have been incredible and have allowed my relationship with God to grow.
